Skill Builder Sampler Block 3

While I don't have tons of time to sew at my parents' house, I have managed to keep on task with my one quilt block this week.

Block 3 in the Skill Builder Sampler hosted over at Sewn was Churn Dash. I took inspiration from one of the example photographs in Leila's post and did a churn dash star variation. I also "fussy cut" a little bird for the center square. Though I don't quilt, I have found that I'm really drawn to star patterns in quilting, and I'm happy with how this little star came out.
