Last minute clutch

The small group I'm a part of within MOPS decided that we would have a little gift exchange during our December play date.  I knew I wanted to make a little clutch, but I didn't start it until the evening before the gift exchange.  I stayed up way too late to get it finished, but I love the way it turned out.  I love it so much, in fact, that I'm planning to make myself a duplicate.

It's based on Noodlehead's gathered clutch tutorial, but this one is a bit larger.  I bought this fabric awhile ago because I loved it, and I think this is the perfect project.

I added a removable wrist strap.

The back showcases the birds on the print.

I kept it simple with the lining since this was a last minute project.  No pockets this time, just some of the fabric I had left over from Adam and Erin's mei tai.

  2. I found this tutorial a couple of months ago when I was looking for something to make for a friends b-day. I have minimal sewing ability, but this clutch was so easy to make. I like that you've added a wrist strap. I actually decided to keep the first one I made because I made two mistakes, but the second came out pretty good!
