... the little ones play outside! At least, that's what Kaia and Peyton did on this day. They certainly accomplished a lot in a couple hours.
I was happy we had such lovely day in March because I feel like there is a lot more to do and everyone is happier if we can just spend some time outside.
We started out with some riding toys. Kaia and Peyton switched off between the car, the scooter, and the little ride-on toy.
They discovered the toy car was almost big enough for two.
Next up: the sand box! Always a good time. There's a shovel for everyone.
I got out some sidewalk chalk. Kaia likes to make marks on the pavement, but I think Peyton is still not quilt old enough to understand that game. It lasted until she took a bite out of the chalk and then I had to put that away. Learning experiences ...
With the chalk gone, Peyton went back to the sand box and Kaia went back to driving the car.
Then we headed around the house to the front porch. This girls thought it was hilarious when Molly came to peek out and see what they were up to.
When I let the cat out, Kaia and Peyton decided they should try and go find him in the bushes. Kaia was a very determined searcher.
Success! But, she tried to hold Thomas by his tail, which he naturally didn't like, so away he went again.
Where's the kitty?
There he is! Thomas says, "Are they gone yet?!"
"I think he went that way!" ... "No, he definitely went this way!"
It's always slightly chaotic having two 1-year-olds because they kind of want to go in opposite directions, but we had a great time together (well, everyone except Thomas!).
