Once a month, a woman from the Orange Art Center come to preschool to do a special craft with our two preschool class. The kids call her "Ms. Wendy."
Since I was the helper in the class that day, I drove the entire Woodberry contingent of preschoolers to school while Kaia stayed with Sarah and Henry for the morning.
We tried to stay together as we walked in to the building, but those kids like to run.
Most of the day was like a regular school day, starting with some time to draw as the class was beginning.
Sierra and her classmates enjoy the book area with chairs, bears, and lots of books to choose from.
The babies needed a little bit of care from their "mamas," Sierra and Sophia before Ms. Wendy came.
They are waiting as patiently as 3-year-olds can for the art project to begin. They look like they're listening intently, don't they?
The project was to make a self portrait. They did the outline with some special crayons and then used water colors to add color to their drawings.
As they were finishing, there was some more time in the book area.
And then they had some time to practice their performance of "Wheels on the Bus," that they will be performing at preschool graduation the end of May.
Before the day ended, there was a project with a chick poem and adding feathers and eyes to a little chick.
After lunch, it was a lovely day, so we got to go outside to the playground to play.
Time to load up "Em's Bus" and head back home!
