When I was in graduate school, Ryan and I were in "Supper Club" together and would sometimes go on long runs with some others in Mansfield Hollow. This summer, he married his lovely wife, Jessica, at a farm just outside Bozeman.
The location was idyllic. I told Jason that we should get married again and do it here.
Ryan and Jessica were blessed with an absolutely perfect day to begin their life together.
I enjoyed the part of the ceremony where their respective families nurtured the same young tree together.
The location was also a great place for my two busy girls to occupy themselves at an otherwise "grown-up" affair. There was a cool babbling stream, great for dipping one's toes.
Also fun to throw in the flower petal and watch them scuttle downstream.
There were also chickens, cows, and a horse (who wanted to share in the buffet, which was place just to the other side of his fence).
Here I am with Ryan, and my friend Dan, with whom I shared an office my first year of grad school, fellow runner and Supper Club member, and through whom I met Ryan in the first place.
Sierra made fast friends with Dan's girlfriend Caroline ... blonds unite, I suppose?
