From Rocky Mountain National Park, it was a short drive to Denver, where we spent the next three nights and two days. The first day, we found a regional park to explore. I wanted to go for a run and Jason and the girls spent some time checking out the lake and the visitor center.
I could definitely live in Colorado!
That evening, we met up with our friend Alisha, who lives in Japan and who we haven't seen in 10 years. And the next day was cross country reunion day!
I met up with 4 of my former college cross country teammates at Leah's. Leah and her family live in the Denver area, and so we all coordinated our schedules and met in Denver. It was great to see these girls again; it's been way too long! Crazy part about this is, all 4 of these teammates have had a baby within 18 months of Kaia, so there were all kinds of little ones about.
This is Alisha's little guy, Touma.
And Leah's happy little Cecelia.
Kaia gets some quality time with Amy's son, Jack.
And here we all are: Amy + Jack, Em + Sierra and Kaia, Alisha + Touma, Leah + Cecelia, and Jen + Addison.
We tried to get a photo of just the little ones, but that was only moderately successful.
Where's Jack?
Ah, there he is! But not a one is looking toward the camera and what it my child doing to poor little Touma?
Okay, Sierra and Addison have their "cheese faces" on, but we've completely lost the attention of everyone else!
Sierra had a great time playing "big sister" to everyone, and she and Addison really hit it off.
Sneaky Kaia, unloading someone's diaper bag ... she's found an accomplice as well.
Nothing like ending the day with a nice, long soak in the tub with 3 of your closest friends!
