The very next day after her 5 mile hike, Sierra busted out another 3.5 miles to two waterfalls in Glacier National Park. Kaia, at not quite 2-years-old, managed a mile on her own. We started out hiking at toddler pace for about 1/2 mile.
That is where we stopped to see the first waterfall, Baring Falls.
A short decent to the lake and then it was up and up the trail to our next waterfall.
I was blown away by the color of the water. It is just beautiful. It looks enhanced, but I assure you, it is not! The water really is that amazing green-blue color!
Eventually, Kaia got tired and wanted to ride in the carrier, which she did for a time, but then the long hike the day before finally caught up to Sierra, and the whining ensued. We only had one carrier with us, so I just swapped the girls. I admit, I felt quite odd carrying the 4-year-old on my back while the tiny one hiked on the trail.
This arrangement lasted another 1/2 mile or so until we reached Virginia Falls.
After a snack and some time exploring the rocks around the waterfall, we were ready to make our return hike and call it a day!

The photos of your trip are amazing! It really makes me want to take a trip out west to see all these parks. But I don't think they make a carrier big enough for me when I start getting tired on the hikes! :)
