More friends

One of the great things about visiting my parents is the chance to catch up with old friends. Even more fun: several of them now have children the same ages as our girls.

My friend Liz lives in Nashville and was in the area visiting her family. Her two girls are just a few months younger than Kaia and Sierra. (Also note the amazing animal alphabet art poster Liz made for the new baby. It's now hanging happily in the girls' room!)

Casey and I have known each other for ... well, let's just say I can't recall a time in my life when I didn't know Casey. Her son, Colton, is just a month younger than Sierra. Sierra and Colton had their first "play date" when they were just 2 and 3 months old, and we always try to get together when we are in Galena. You can tell they have a great time together!

And finally: cousins are friends, too! These are for my mom, who wanted an updated photo of all her grandgirls. Put your best "cheese face" on!

There were a few friends we just weren't able to connect with (mostly because they were ill) but we'll try for a get together next time!

  1. Yes! Next time hopefully we won't be getting over the stomach flu when you're in town! Actually, the whole winter has been full of near-constant illnesses (luckily mostly on a minor level) so I can't wait for spring!

  2. Sighs. WHY must my kid always do that stupid tongue thing in all pictures for the past six months? Whhhhhy???? :) And I want Sierra's side sweeping hair. I cannot even do that as an adult and hers does it naturally. Beee-yooouuu-ti-ful!
